Death of Moroccan diplomat in Pretoria: FM takes administrative, legal procedures in collaboration with South African authorities

Rabat - The ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation said Tuesday it has taken administrative and legal procedures in collaboration with the South African authorities following the death of a Moroccan diplomat in Pretoria.

A member of the diplomatic staff of the Moroccan embassy in Pretoria was found dead Tuesday at his apartment in the South African capital, the same source recalled.

Noureddine Fatmi, the officer in charge of consular affairs at the embassy, was reportedly murdered, the Foreign Ministry added, noting that the circumstances of his death are not yet established.

According to the same sources, the Moroccan diplomat was living alone in an apartment in the district of Monument Park in Pretoria.
