Dakar Maritime Exhibition: Choice of Morocco as Guest of Honor Reflects Both countries' Will to Promote Bilateral Cooperation
Dakar - The choice of Morocco as guest of honor in the Dakar Maritime Exhibition reflects the desire of both countries to promote bilateral cooperation and further strengthen their multi-secular relations, Senegalese Prime Minister Mahammad Dionne said Thursday in Dakar.

Dionne, who chaired the opening ceremony of the event, praised the execellent Moroccan-Senegalese cooperation in various fields, noting that "the privilege falls this year to the Kingdom of Morocco to be the guest of honor".

"This choice reflects the will of President Macky Sall to amplify the quality of multi-secular relations based on friendship, esteem and cordiality between Senegal and Morocco", he said, noting that the personal relationships between HM King Mohammed VI and President Macky Sall, marked by cordiality and mutual esteem, were strengthened during the recent State visit of the Sovereign to Dakar last May.

This historic visit was marked by the signing of 13 cooperation agreements, he recalled, citing notably the agreement relating to the grant awarded by the Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental protection for the development of a modern dock in Soumbédioune in the Senegalese capital.
