Prague - Czech President Milos Zeman received, Thursday at the presidential palace in Prague, Foreign Minister Salaheddine Mezouar.

The talks focused on the means to strengthen bilateral relations in a bid to develop a comprehensive strategic partnership between Morocco and the Czech Republic, and examined several international issues particularly related to terrorism, extremism, immigration and the situation in the Middle East and North Africa.

Zeman addressed, on this occasion, an invitation to HM King Mohammed VI to pay a visit to the Czech Republic, noting that this visit will give new impetus to relations between the two countries in view of the role of the sovereign in the region and the efforts aimed at promoting the values of peace and tolerance.

In the same vein, the Czech president commended Morocco's leadership in the Maghreb region and Africa thanks to the enlightened vision of HM the King for the promotion of moderate Islamic values.

Zeman also expressed his support for the territorial integrity of Morocco, emphasizing the need to put an end to this conflict, so that Morocco recovers its legitimate rights over its Sahara.

The Czech president called for establishing a Czech-Moroccan-African partnership to explore other areas of bilateral economic cooperation, especially in the sectors of industries, renewable energy, environment and transport in the perspective of building an active partnership in all areas.
