Curtains Raised at 18th African Film Festival of Khouribga
Khouribga - The 18th African Film Festival of Khouribga, which runs through September 19, kicked off Saturday night with its opening night presentation.

Up to 14 feature films from 12 countries (Senegal, Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire, Tunisia, Algeria, Guinea-Conakry, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Mali, Niger, Mauritania and Egypt) compete for the festival's prestigious Grand Prix Sembène Ousmane.

The opening ceremony, punctuated by performances of a Senegalese folk troupe, was marked by presenting the Festival trophy to the general delegate of the Ouagadougou Pan-African Film Festival (FESPACO), Michel Ouedraogo.
