Counterterrorism: Paris, Brussels to Set Up 'Ministerial Four-Party Conference' Including Spain and Morocco

Paris - France and Belgium announced, on Monday in Paris, that they will establish a "Ministerial Four-Party Conference" including the Justice Ministers of their countries in addition to those of Spain and Morocco to give concrete substance to their governments' commitment and solidarity in the fight against Islamist terrorism.

Determined to face relentlessly the new challenges posed by the fight against terrorism and violent radicalization, France and Belgium have decided to work towards the establishment of a "Ministerial Four-Party Conference" including the justice ministers of Belgium, Spain, France and Morocco to give concrete substance to their governments' commitment and solidarity in the fight against Islamist terrorism, wrote a joint statement on cooperation in the field of domestic security and the fight against terrorism, issued following a meeting between French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe and his Belgian counterpart Charles Michel. The two countries also expressed their determination to act with their partners so that the said four-party conference be held by the end of the year, according to the statement.
