Conference on reforms in the Maghreb at St Anthony's College Oxford.

Researchers attending the conference will discuss issues related to the situation in Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria and Egypt, MAP reports.

 Dr. Michael Willis will discuss  "The Arab Spring and the challenges of reform in Morocco", while the  Algerian researcher Professor Yahia Zoubir will caste light on the interpretation of the  Arab Spring.Others presenting papers include Dr John Wright,Professor Avi Shlaim,Dr John Chalcraft,Professor Stuart Schaar,Dr Michael Willis,Dr Salma Belaala and Dr Maaike Voorhoeve.

 Among the other themes discussed will be the check in the democratic experience in Algeria, the Arab Spring, the Arab-Israel conflict and its impact on the revolt in Tunisia.

 The conference is organized by the  Maghreb Studies Association based in London.The Maghreb Studies Association, founded in 1981, is an independent international Association open to those interested in any aspect of the Maghreb, Islamic culture and Mediterranean studies. Its aims are to encourage and co-ordinate research and the exchange of ideas in a wide range of fields, including History, Political Science, Economics, Environmental Studies, Linguistics, Literature, Sociology, Anthropology, and the Islamic Culture of the Maghreb and Mediterranean region.The Maghreb Studies Association has organised various conferences in the past and papers from the conferences are published in The Maghreb Review.
