Monaco - Casablanca Finance City (CFC) stands as a financial and business hub facilitating investors' access to the African market, Director general of the center, told Monaco business operators, Said Ibrahimi.

This young financial place, which has won international recognition, is a gateway to African countries, especially the French-speaking ones, he stressed in a meeting on investments opportunities in Morocco, held by the Monaco chamber of economic development.

Ibrahimi also explained that Africa holds an enormous potential with 4 pc of the world GDP presently and an expected 12 pc by 2050, noting before a group of 70 entrepreneurs from Monaco that the amount earmarked for infrastructure projects is estimated at 100 billion dollars annually.

On his part, Morocco's ambassador in Monaco, Chakib Benmoussa, presented Morocco's opportunities, particularly a market economy and constant improvements of the business atmosphere resulting in an increase of 23pc in 2013 of foreign investments in Morocco and a progression of 10 ranks in the World bank "doing business" standing.

Morocco, with its market of over 30 million consumers, is open to Monaco business operators who also have a chance to get access to the entire African market, said Benmoussa who is also ambassador in France.
