Evidence is accumulating more and more against Qatar, is funding Islamist terrorism in the Muslim world according to an article in the Algerian daily quoting the satrical Canard Echainé in France.
Canard Echainé: Qatar finances terrorism in Mali - El Watan
The article quoted by El Watan  alledges that Qatar is using  the arabic language  Al Jazeera  "Radio Mille Collines" Arab, as an apologist for  extremist Islamism with a man like Sheikh Yousef Al-Qaradhawi, it rose to a higher gear with the advent of Arab revolutions in which he saw a potential threat to the survival of the  Gulf monarchies.

Hence, the article says a strong support to obscurantist  islamic forces in Tunisia, Libya, Egypt and Yemen.

The French satirical weekly, Le Canard Enchaîné just published new revelations about the Qatari capital financing of terrorism. This time in Mali. The newspaper refers to a particular report of the DRM (Directorate of Military Intelligence).

Support for terrorism Mali is not accidental. It aims primarily to destabilize Algeria, which has resisted until now the tide of  the green peril. The French weekly magazine writes: "Earlier this year, several notes from the DGSE alerted the Elysee Palace on international activities and,  dare we say, the emirate of Qatar.

Without really insisting , the notes suggested that it required diplomacy, because Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani,     the Emir has always been a friend and ally of France.

The officers of DRM say, that the generosity of Qatar is second to none and it was not content to just help financially, but  sometimes by supplying weapons to  the revolutionaries of Tunisia, Egypt or Libya , " wrote Le Canard.

"Based on information collected by the DRM, the Tuareg rebels of the MNLA (independence and laity), Ansar Eddine, AQIM (Al Qaeda in Islamic Maghreb) and Mujao (Jihad in West Africa) were assisted with  dollars from Qatar. Hostage taking, trafficking in drugs or cigarettes may  not be sufficient for these Islamists big spenders, " Le Canard Echainé says.

Their Taliban state of Azawad witnessed its first discord between the  Tuareg, more or less religious fanatics and the sharia. But these groups are now present in several border towns in Niger, Burkina Faso and Algeria. Other "tourists" whose armed presence isnoted in northern Mali: Nigerians of the sect Boko Haram and Pakistani instructors arrived in Somalia with good experience  of guerrilla warfare.

The sad comment of a French diplomat: he raises his arms to heaven and  said "we support the ECOWAS (Economic Community of African States West), knowing that it is powerless." Several leaders of these countries , nervous about the  islamist virus from spreading closer to home, may well be considering military intervention. But neither they nor the African Union has the strength to "reconquer" the cities and deserts of northern Mali.

As for what remains of the "Malian" south " the civil war threat does not really exist, " according to the  DGSE.

Each country, like the French, who are content to "watch the  area", as they say,  turns to Algeria, whose army is the only way to cross the 1,300 km border to northern Mali, then to make short work of the Islamists.

But Bouteflika and his generals fear the backlash. They are reluctant, it seems, to "see again  terrorism  bloom at home," according to the Quai d'Orsay, the newspaper said.
