Cadi Ayyad Launches Smart University in Partnership with Microsoft
Marrakech - Cadi Ayyad University of Marrakech (UCA) launched, on Tuesday, in partnership with Microsoft Morocco the "Smart University" project to set up a digital platform that networks all the university institutions.

This project is based on the TV White Space (TVWS) technology, which offers access to broadband Internet for students and researchers enrolled in the nine institutions of Cadi Ayyad University.
Microsoft Morocco signed this partnership with the Moroccan Ministry of Higher education and Scientific Research for a budget of 2 million dollars to secure access to Internet and a datacenter that hosts e-learning and Massive Open Online Courses.
"These new technologies offer a potential of extraordinary development for education and equal access to information. Universities should adopt these new technologies and reinforce their international network to provide university students with quality education to meet the job market needs", said Higher Education and Scientific Research minister, Lahcen Daoudi.
Nabil El Marzouki, a computer science professor and the project manager, said that pedagogy and knowledge diffusion will be radically changed through this platform, adding that information will allow students to share and exchange their knowledge. OR.
