CNSS: All Fund's Employees Benefit from Their Social Rights

Jeudi 2 Juillet 2020

Casablanca - All employees of the National Social Security Fund (CNSS) benefit from all their rights in terms of medical and social coverage, said this establishment on Wednesday.  "The employees of the CNSS, whose number is 3,837 divided between the general regime (2,850) and the medical units (987) as of June 30, 2020, enjoy, without exception, medical and social coverage, in addition to a complementary retirement", specified the same source in an update.

The CNSS recalled that, in order to honor its various commitments, it has resorted to service providers in the areas of security, cleanliness and IT developers on the condition that their situation is regular vis-à-vis vis the Fund, and that they declared their employees and paid their social security contributions.  Referring to the situation of the CNSS' polyclinics, the same source explained that, since the creation of the establishment, the services of temporary doctors and nurses in the public sector were required, on the back of an agreement with the Ministry of Health, as well as others working independently and whom are able to work for any other private clinic.  According to the same document, there are 572 temporary workers from the public sector, who are governed by the civil service regime, while the number of independent doctors and nurses is around 1,256 temporary workers, who operate as providers of services paid under a contract with the polyclinics of the CNSS determining the rights and obligations of each party.  The latter are under the medical and social coverage dedicated to self-employed workers, in the light of law 98.15 relating to the basic compulsory health insurance scheme for the categories of professionals, self-employed workers and self-employed persons exercising a liberal activity and law 99.15 establishing a pension scheme for the same categories.  Independent doctors and nurses will be able to benefit from this system after the promulgation of the decrees of application of the two laws, underlined the same source.  As soon as these laws come into force, it went on, these professionals will have to pay their contributions directly to the CNSS, which is in charge for the management of the two schemes, like midwives and physiotherapists, who already benefit from it following the publication of organizational texts concerning them.
