Belgium ready to support Morocco's new migration policy
Brussels - Belgium welcomed on Tuesday the new Moroccan policy on migration and asylum, and expressed readiness to support the royal initiative.
''Belgium welcomes the royal initiative on the new migration policy, and expresses support for the efforts of the Kingdom in this regard as well as willingness to support this new approach,'' said the joint statement issued at the end of the second Belgian-Moroccan high joint commission, under the joint chairmanship of the head of government, Abdelilah Benkirane, and Belgian Prime Minister Elio Di Rupo.
On this occasion, Belgium expressed readiness to share its experience with Morocco, notably as part of the EU-Moroccan Mobility Partnership signed in 2013. The next Belgian-Moroccan high joint commission will be held in 2016 in Morocco.
