Belgian VM Steel Invests in Morocco

Samedi 26 Décembre 2020

Casablanca - VM Steel, a Belgian stock-listed exporter of a wide range of steel products, struck partnership with local steel firm K-Steel Service Senhadji & Trade (K-3S&T) to create a subsidiary in Morocco, VM Steel Maroc.
A member of the Van Meerbeeck Group, VM Steel is setting foot in Morocco to supply specialized steel products, said VM Steel Maroc in a statement issued on Friday.

VM Steel Maroc ambitions to become, for its clients, "the reference in terms of supply of steel products."

The subsidiary will take over all the activities of K-3S&T, which had many exclusive partnerships for the supply of steel products, (stainless steel screws and flanges, balls & grinding bars, welding consumables, rubber & rubberizing, equipment for chamfering & drilling, and so on... ), according to the same source.

"VM Steel Maroc is the first international subsidiary of VM Steel. The choice of Morocco is not due to chance. Morocco is indeed an incomparable axis of development to continue to develop the rest of VM Steel's activity in Africa," the company said.

The choice to continue the investment despite the complicated commercial circumstances due to the health crisis is proof of VM Steel's determination to make a long-term commitment to its Moroccan partners, it added.

With two warehouses extending over 5,000 m2 and 15,000 m2 next to the port of Antwerp, VM Steel can ensure delivery within very short deadlines of a whole range of products from ordinary steel to the most specialized steel products.

VM Steel Maroc now offers its customers unequaled reactivity and quality of service, providing technical advice, logistics and financing, the statement added.
