Assets of Moroccan economy highlighted in London Conference

London - The assets of the Moroccan economy and business opportunities offered by Kingdom were presented in London on Monday by Minister of General Affairs and Governance, Mohamed Najib Boulif.

Speaking at an international conference in the British capital by the Presidency of the G8 (United Kingdom) under the Deauville Partnership, Mr. Boulif said Morocco enjoys the trust of a growing number of foreign investors thanks to its political, social, and economic stability.

By combining economic openness, liberalization and structural reforms, Morocco has demonstrated resilience in a difficult international situation, he said, stressing that the North African country aspires to become a regional model of development, and a leader in certain services and IT sectors.

Mr. Boulif highlighted the major development projects launched by Morocco and the assets of Morocco as a platform for foreign investments.

The international conference on investment in Arab countries in transition is attended by several Arab countries, including Morocco.

Led by the Minister in charge of general affairs and governance, Mohamed Najib Boulif, the Moroccan delegation, which includes representatives from the private sector and several other personalities, will take the opportunity of this meeting, organized under the G8 Deauville partnership to present the progress made by Morocco and the business opportunities offered by the Kingdom in several key sectors.

As part of the UK's G8 Presidency, Britain is hosting the G8 Deauville Partnership Investment Conference with the participation of investors and senior government officials from across the G8, Arab Countries in Transition across the Middle East and North Africa, Deauville regional partners (Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, UAE and Turkey), as well as major International Financial Institutions.
