Rabat - The great architect Patrice de Mazières donated, for the benefit of the Archives of Morocco, part of his private documents which cover a rich professional activity of half a century in Morocco (1962-2013). "After more than two and a half years of consultations, exchanges and persuasion, the great architect Patrice de Mazières, grandson of Adrien Laforgue, famous architect under the Protectorate, agreed to conclude with the Archives of Morocco a donation agreement for part of his private documents which cover a rich professional activity of half a century in Morocco (1962-2013)", said a press release from the Archives of Morocco.

Born in Rabat in 1930, Patrice de Mazières graduated in 1956 from Paris Special School of Architecture in the same class as his compatriot Abdesselam Farawi. The two architects opened an agency in Morocco shortly after, in 1962, and worked together brilliantly for around thirty years, giving a modern touch to the architecture of the newly independent Morocco. From 1998 until his retirement in 2013, Patrice de Mazières carried on alone, with success and passion, his exceptional adventure which generated archives of very high historical value.
