Anti-drug fight: over 500 tons of cannabis seized in 2013, El Khalfi

Rabat - More than 500 tons of cannabis were seized in 2013 as part of efforts to fight against drug trafficking led by Morocco, in accordance with its international commitments in this area, said Thursday in Rabat, Minister of Communication, government spokesman Mustapha El Khalfi.

The government is driven by a clear desire to fight against drug trafficking, said El Khalfi during a press briefing at the end of the weekly cabinet meeting.

According to the minister, there is a progress made ??in this area, as evidenced by the statistics related to drug seizure operations and the increase of economic development policies for the areas used for this illegal cultivation.
