Amrani : Morocco is a real zone of stability in the region
Rabat - In a mixed context full of challenges, Morocco is today a real zone of stability in the region thanks to its assets and monarchy, an engine of reform and progress, Minister delegate for foreign affairs Youssef Amrani said on Tuesday in Rabat.

Morocco is progressing peacefully in the current context thanks to a clear vision and has succeeded in carrying out a pacific evolution in continuity and stability towards a democratic state thanks to reforms undertaken for several years under the leadership of King Mohammed VI, said Amrani at a seminar on "the new international geopolitical context".
Amrani underlined that this Moroccan specificity is due to the basic role of monarchy, Morocco's history, the relation between the State and all society's components and the prompt, wise response to citizens' aspirations.
Regarding the place of Morocco in the new international context, Amrani said that the Kingdom is now a major player internationally, especially in the UN Security Council and for defending the causes of Africa and the Arab and Islamic world at a time when the prospects for the peace and stability are becoming increasingly difficult.
A link between Africa and Europe, Morocco remains a privileged partner of the latter, he insisted, adding that in terms of relations with the EU, this privileged relationship was given concrete substance by the emergence of a renewed cooperation under the advanced status between Morocco and the EU and the "Partnership for Democracy" with the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
