Algeria: Sahara in the snow!
The desert, a stretch of endless sand dunes? Appearances are deceptive and nature reserves as always full of surprises.

This is not a mirage, but rather the reality, the north-west of the Algerian Sahara, specifically the region of Bechar, is since yesterday morning in the snow! The tan of the desert has now given way to a pristine white layer, to the delight of locals. Like the other Saharan regions, that of Bechar (border town of Morocco) is dry, water resources are particularly scarce. The contribution of the snow is very beneficial for the recharging of groundwater used in this area for agricultural production especially in the oasis.

Palms and ksour in the snow, a magical landscape that is ephemeral never tires of contemplating, even behind the small screen!
