Algeria- 15 films for the Gold Olivier of 12th Amazigh Film Festival

Fifteen films are nominated for the Gold Olivier, the highest honor of the 12th Amazigh Cultural Film Festival, scheduled from 24 March to 28 March in Tizi-Ouzou, the organizers said on Wednesday.

This selection of films that includes four feature films, seven short films and four documentaries will be judged by a panel chaired by Algerian director Amor Hakkar,  Commissioner of the festival, Mr. Hashemi El Assad told APS. Among the films in competition include the feature film Avava Moh, Smail Yazid, the short film Yidir, Tahar Haouchi, and the documentary Chnouyide takvaylit (Sing me Kabylia), Iftini of Ramdan, all made between 2011-2012.

 In addition, ten films (documentaries, short films and animated films) are enrolled in "Young talents" that the jury will be chaired by the young director of short films Koussim Yanis. The films will take place in Tizi Ouzou town, and in most other area communities: Azeffoun, Larbaa Nath Irathen, Azazga, Draa El Mizan-and Tizi Rached.

 "Clap Amazigh elsewhere," a panorama of  Amazigh language films from several countries, including Niger, Morocco, Tunisia and Libya, is scheduled during the festival and a one-day seminar on the theme "The image in the service of the revolution."
 
Some thirty-six films in total will be screened throughout the festival in Tizi Ouzou and its surroundings.
