Abengoa will build the facility, which will produce enough water daily for about 800,000 people, for National Electricity and Drinking Water of Morocco in the town of Agadir, the company said today in a statement on its website. Abengoa will operate and maintain the plant under a 20-year contract.

The reverse-osmosis facility will be the country’s largest desalination project, according to the statement.
