Abdeladim el Guerrouj: about 20,000 jobs announced in the second half of 2012

Approximately 20,000 employment positions were announced during the second half of 2012, including 1,350 jobs in institutions and enterprises and local communities,Abdeladim el Guerrouj The Minister of Public Service and Administration Modernisation, said on Thursday in Rabat.

In a statement to the press prior to the Governing Council, Mr. Guerrouj said "543 competitions were organized with over 246,000 candidates, 13 candidates for each job position", while 550 jobs will be open to competition in the coming weeks,MAP reported.
 
The Minister said that the final results of the competition for the recruitment  of 13,720 posts were published, while other competitions will be displayed during the next weeks.
 
For positions under the 2013 budget, he said that competition will be announced for 24,290 positions.
 
"Under the Constitution and the laws relating to access to the public, the government has opted for the competition as the only way to integrate the public," he said.
 
He reiterated, in this context, the government's desire to enshrine the principles of transparency, merit and equal opportunities to access public service.
 
Mr. Guerrouj has also stressed the important role of electronic portal of public employment consulted by approximately 8,000 visitors per day, which promotes transparency and access to information regarding competitions.
