6th Moroccan-Gabonese joint committee on Sept. 3-5 in Rabat

Rabat - The sixth Moroccan-Gabonese joint committee will run from September 3 to 5 in Rabat in the light of the special aspect of relations between Morocco and Gabon, said a statement by the foreign affairs ministry on Wednesday.

This session falls within the framework of reinforcing the ties of friendship, brotherhood and cooperation between Morocco and Gabon in conformity with the orientations of HM King Mohammed VI and His excellency President Ali Bongo Ondimba, it said.

The session, following the official visit by HM the King to Gabon in March 2013 and the visits by President Ali Bongo Ondimba since he took office in 2010, shows the genuine political will to give momentum to the Moroccan-Gabonese cooperation and make it a real strategic partnership.

The Gabonese delegation is led by minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Francophonie, in charge of NEPAD and Regional Integration Emmanuel Issoze Ngondet.

On the sidelines of the event, foreign minister Saad Dine El Otmani will meet with Gabonese counterpart on means and ways to spur bilateral cooperation.

Several agreements involving various fields of cooperation will be inked on this occasion.
