Casablanca - The 6th Marrakech Biennial will take place on February 24 through May 8, 2016, with the participation of artists from different countries.

At a press conference, Chief Commissioner of Marrakech Biennial, Reem Fadda, said this edition will have an eclectic program that features shows, exhibitions of archives, seminars and conferences to support the main event.
The various heritage locations in Marrakech will host various commissions and installations in situ, created by international artists, mainly from Africa and the Arab world, she pointed out.
This event, she said, will be an opportunity to share expertise between Moroccan and foreign specialists in the art history on the means that will highlight the cultural and civilizational heritage of Marrakech and allow visitors to dive into the Moroccan culture in general.
For his part, Executive President of the Marrakech Biennial, Mohamed Amine Kabbaj said that the forthcoming edition will be marked by two major changes, namely the extension of the exhibition period and free access to all exhibitions, which will offer the opportunity for a wide and diverse audience.
