3.65 T of Chira Seized Northern Morocco
Tangier - Security services at Tangier Med Port have seized 3.65 tons of Chira (cannabis resin) aboard an international transport truck, the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) said on Sunday.
The banned substance, which was carefully concealed in a shipment of wood products, was discovered upon inspection of the cargo vehicle registered in Spain and was heading to Belgium, the same source pointed out. The driver was arrested and placed in custody pending the completion of the investigation, the statement noted, adding that an investigation was opened to identify and arrest the people involved.
