2nd edition of the British Film Week: Rabat - Tanger - Sidi Taibi 11 - 24 November 2012

In collaboration with the Moroccan British Society (MBS) and the Cinemathèque de Tanger (CDT), and with the support of the Moroccan Cinema Centre (MCC)- Centrecinématographique marocain -, the British Council os organising the second edition of the British Film Week in Morocco from 11 to 24 November 2012.

This event will take place from 11 to 17 November at the Cinéma 7ème Art in the heart of the capital,Rabat, on 16 and 17 November at the Théâtre Nomade in Sidi Taibi, and from 20 to 24 November at the Cinemathèque de Tanger, Tangier.
 
It will constitute a platform for exhibition open to young promising British directors, whose first works have been awarded in major film festivals and have been acclaimed by international critics.
 
These films are the product of the new wave of the British cinema, among which is the most recent work of
Rowan Athale, “Wasteland”, will be scheduled for this second edition.
 
This edition will also be distinguished by the meetings of the British filmmakers with Moroccan cinema enthusiasts every night after the screenings.
 
In a spirit of equal opportunities and diversity, the British Film Week will be relocated this time for two days of outdoor screenings in Sidi Taibi, a rural town between Salé and Kenitra. This initiative was taken in partnership with the Théâtre Nomade Association.
 
Mainly in English, and subtitled in French, the event aims at opening a window on the British culture.

The screenings will be open to the public from 18.00 every evening in Rabat, 19.00 in Tangier, and
from 17.00 in Sidi Taibi.
