2015 Communal & Regional Elections: Voter Turnout Stands at 52.36 pc
Rabat - The voter turnout in Morocco's communal and regional elections stood at 52.36 pc, Interior Minister Mohamed Hassad said.
It is almost identical to the turnout figures at the 2009 communal elections, when the voter turnover reached 52.4 pc, the minister pointed out.
Polling stations closed this Friday at 7pm (GMT+1) after a day of voting in the first communal and regional elections since the adoption in 2011 of a new constitution that gives regions more powers in managing local affairs.
