2014 general census will help to elaborate new policies

Rabat - Data collected as part of the general housing and population census (RGPH-2014) will help in elaborating new policies which will lead to an inclusive growth, said on Wednesday in Rabat representative of the African Development Bank (AfDB) to Morocco Fal Yacine.

One of the main goals of this census is to achieve inclusive growth, said Yacine who attended a working session, held by the high commissioner for planning Ahmed Lahlimi Alami, along with representatives of foreign missions accredited to Morocco as well as regional and international organizations.

This growth involves encouraging an economy with high employment rate that enhances social and territorial cohesion, she said.

The participants also visited the Center for Document Automatic Reading (CLAD) and followed a presentation on the data use and agenda for unveiling the results of the 2014 general census.
