"The 12th round will be devoted to the examination of Algeria's answers to the additional questions of the members of the working group, and the legislative reforms," Algerian Trade Minister Mustapha Benbada told Algeria Press Service (APS) Sunday on the eve of the meeting, which will be attended by a large Algerian delegation representing various sectors.

Since the 11th round, held in April 2013, Algeria had received 170 new questions or requests for clarification from WTO member states.

The 12th round will also allow examining concomitantly Algeria's answers to the additional questions, the updated draft report of the working group in charge of Algeria's accession to the WTO, as well as the revised Algerian offers relating to market access for goods and services, he added.

The minister underlined the need to make "palpable progress" in the talks, adding that friendly countries, like the Arab and African groups in the WTO were supporting Algeria in its WTO accession process.

Algeria has made "huge efforts" in 2013 by the preparation of four documents that it had given to the working group "and we are expecting positive feedback from the members of the working group," said Benbada.
