12th Moroccan-Saudi Joint Commission slated for August 25-27 in Jeddah

Rabat - The 12th session of the Moroccan-Saudi Joint Commission will be held on August 25-27 in Jeddah, under the chairmanship of Foreign Minister, Saad-Eddine El Othmani and his Saudi counterpart, HRH Prince Saud Al Faical.

The Ministerial Committee meeting, slated for Tuesday, will be preceded by meetings between businessmen of the two countries, particularly in the context of the Investment Forum and the Business Council of both countries.

The Moroccan-Saudi investment Forum will meet Sunday at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Jeddah with a panel of representatives from the public and private sectors of the two countries, experts in the fields of investment, transport, trade, technology, development and customs. As for the Business Council of the two countries, it will be held on Monday under the chairmanship of Saudi Mohamed Fahd Hammadi and Moroccan Khalid Benjelloun.

These meetings illustrate the determination of both countries to promote economic and trade relations, and undertake more partnership projects and productive investments to benefit the economies of both countries, and it consistent with the sectoral priorities in the programs of development in Morocco and Saudi Arabia.

The Moroccan-Saudi Joint Commission, which held its first session in April 1981 and the last in February 2011 in Rabat, was established under the Agreement on Economic and Technical Cooperation signed between the two Kingdoms in Riyadh on April 21 1976.
