The program contract draft linking MAP to the State will not only ensure the continuity of MAP's modernization, but also mark a new phase for the body through the launch of a radio-TV service which constitutes a value added for the sector nationally and regionally, said El Khalfi who chaired the December, 2014 session of MAP board of directors.

2015 will be the year of big challenges, namely local elections and extensive regionalization, he said, noting that, as part of its effort to back and cover these events, the agency will set up regional poles and reinforce the city of Laayoune's regional pole.

He lauded the fact that MAP has become a reference not only for public media outlets, but also for private radio channels.

He went on to say that the year 2014 was marked by the creation of the Atlantic Federation of African News Agencies (FAAPA) and the setting up of the African Center for Training to foster Morocco's African policy which was initiated by HM King Mohammed VI.

For his part, MAP managing director Khalil Hachimi Idrissi surveyed MAP's commitments under the program contract such as: supporting Morocco's diplomatic efforts internationally, creating and marketing new products, adopting a marketing policy matching the evolution of the environment, modernizing governance tools and management methods and professionalizing human resources.
