World Travel Awards: Marrakech voted best African destination of the year
The city of Marrakech is to be distinguished once again for its flamboyant charm that enchants visitors from all over the world. The ocher city was voted "Best African destination of the year" by the 19th "World Travel Awards".

This is the first Moroccan city to win the title chosen by vote by travel agents around the world, thus succeeding the South African city Cape Town who previously reigned supreme on the list with 12 titles to its credit .
The ocher city stole the show from several dream destinations in Africa hoping this distinction: Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg (South Africa), Luxor (Egypt), Mount Kilimanjaro (Tanzania) or Victoria Falls (Zambia).
