World Bank Hails Partnership with Morocco

Rabat, Feb. 22, 2016 (MAP) Vice-President of the World Bank for the Middle East and North Africa, Hafez Ghanem, on Monday hailed partnership with Morocco.
"We are proud, at the World Bank, of our partnership with Morocco, one of the most successful countries in the field of economy as it is evidenced by the achievements made in different sectors, including aeronautics, automobile and solar energy", Ghanem told the press following his talks with Minister of Economy and Finance, Mohamed Boussaid.

This meeting was an opportunity to examine means to reinforce the World Bank's support to Morocco to ensure the success of its different economic policies.

For his part, Boussaid highlighted the historic relations between Morocco and the World Bank, adding that this cooperation is based on trust and defined by the 2014-2017 strategic partnership.

He underlined the smooth implementation of this framework, adding that the first two years of the current strategic partnership was marked by financing many "priority projects of our country".
