Women and Knowledge in the Mediterranean
This book is dedicated to the relationship between ancient but little known women and the production of knowledge in the Mediterranean region. The book raises the issue of feminine knowledge which is often unrecognized and yet is the basis of all knowledge and arts of the region. Women have not only contributed to the production of classical learning, but also know that their product is clean.

The book is divided into 4 parts: written and knowledge women, women and oral knowledge, legal knowledge and women, religious and economic, and women and media knowledge. The relationship between women and knowledge in the Mediterranean region dates back to the Pharaonic era, their oral knowledge have always been an integral part of their daily life and traditions, rituals and art are universal and intangible heritage of humanity. With the advent of Human Rights and Technology, Mediterranean women have developed legal knowledge, religious, economic, and media. Feminine Knowledge  in its entirety forces a redefinition of the concept itself.

By presenting untapped women’s expressions of knowledge in these domains, this book opens new avenues of research in fields such as sociology, history, and literature, amongst others.
