With Withdrawal of Bolivia's Recognition, 'SADR' Suffers New Setback, Latin American Foundation

Mercredi 22 Janvier 2020

Mexico City - The so-called "SADR" has just suffered another bitter setback in Latin America after the decision of Bolivia to suspend its recognition and to sever all ties with the fake entity, said the Global Africa Latina Foundation, which brings together a group of Latin American NGOs.

"An important step was taken yesterday by El Salvador, and today by Bolivia in favor of the Moroccanness of the Sahara (...). This momentum confirms the failure of the separatist thesis in Latin America", said president of the Foundation Antonio Yelpi Aguilar in a statement to MAP. Welcoming this profound change in the foreign policy of the South American country in favor of the territorial integrity of the Kingdom, the president of the Global Africa Latina Foundation said that the adoption by Bolivia of such a position is likely to give a new impetus to the process of strengthening diplomatic relations between the two countries. This decision also confirms the fruitful dynamic which now distinguishes relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and all the countries of the South American continent, he added. It crowns the sustained efforts by the Moroccan diplomacy to foster ties with the countries of this region within the framework of south-south cooperation, which will bring benefits on both sides of the Atlantic, said Yelpi Aguilar, who is also president of the Latin American Center for Studies for Democracy. Bolivia said, in a statement on Monday, that it is determined to build a renewed relationship with the Kingdom of Morocco, based on mutual respect for national sovereignty and territorial integrity and non-interference in the domestic affairs of the two countries.
