WHO chief commends Morocco's drug policy, as 'experience to share'

Geneva - Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Margaret Chan paid a tribute Friday to Morocco for its drug policy that she described as an "excellent experience to share with other countries." "Your pharmaceutical approach goes hand in hand with one of our priorities to make medicines available to everyone," said Chan during a meeting with Minister of Health, Houssaine Louardi at the WHO headquarters in Geneva, adding that the organization greatly appreciate the Kingdom's work on the matter. She also said the organization works to ensure that drugs meet international quality standards and reconcile the requirements of producers and need for regulation in the sector.
