Urgent: 7 French hostages kidnapped in Cameroon, released unharmed

The family of seven French hostages kidnapped Tuesday in northern Cameroon was found by the Nigerian authorities in the town of Dikwa, in northern Nigeria, AFP reported on Thursday, citing military sources in Cameroon.

"The hostages are unharmed and are in the hands of the Nigerian government."

"They were found abandoned in a house in the town of Dikwa" a hundred kilometers from the border with Niger, said a senior officer of the Cameroonian army on Thursday.
