This resolution, co-sponsored by around one hundred countries, was adopted by the UN 193 member states during a UNGA session, in the presence IPU head Abdelouahed Radi.

This is the second resolution of its kind presented by Morocco following the one adopted also without voting in 2012.

The resolution encourages the IPU to continue mobilizing parliaments in order to achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and elaborate a post 2015 development action program. It also encourages the UN and the IPU to promote cooperation on matters related to inter-faith dialogue, culture, education and ICT.
