The investigation under way led by the Central Bureau for Judiciary Investigations (BCIJ), under the general directorate for territory surveillance, helped arrest two women affiliated to the same organization, who stayed sometime in Al Qaida camps on the territories of Afghanistan and Pakistan, and were clearly involved in the cell's terrorist projects in the Kingdom.

The probe revealed the gravity of the cell's destructive projects as its head, in coordination with other Moroccan field leaders affiliated to ISIS, was planning to name Morocco "Wilayat Al Maghrib", as an entity under the said terrorist organization, in conformity with ISIS expansionist strategy seeking to set up wilayas outside Syria and Iraq.

As part of this criminal project, the cell's leader was going to create a squad in south of the Kingdom, in the prospect of reinforcing it with fighters that has special training in ISIS camps, in order to conduct a series of hostile terrorist operations via murdering civil and security officials and attacking sensitive sites, said the statement.

It added that, in coordination with ISIS field leaders, it was decided to supply this squad with weapons that will be smuggled into the country by organization members operating in the Maghreb.

The BCIJ had smashed last Tuesday an 8-member terrorist cell operating in Tangiers, Bouznika, Khouribga and Taounate. The suspects will be brought to justice after the completion of the investigation led under the supervision of the public prosecutor's office.
