The Minister made the statement in an interview with the with French speaking weekly magazine Jeune Afrique.

Counter-terrorism operations at the domestic level or as part of cooperation with foreign partners such as Spain are key to reinforcing prevention, Hassad noted.

Hassad also pointed to the setting of reinforced security apparatus labelled Hadar which reflects a multi-layered security engagement.

Thanks to its efforts, Morocco earned an international recognition, he said. " It is no coincidence that Morocco was elected to co-chair the Global Counter Terrorism Forum."
