Casablanca - Twenty executives from six West and Central African countries participated on January 27- February 21 in Casablanca, in the third regional seminar on ports management.

The seminar, organized at the Port Training Institute (IFP) of the National Ports Agency (ANP) aims to help HR professionals in the field of shipping and ports in several African countries to developed their skills and enrich their knowledge in the field of port management, said a statement from the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

The event, jointly organized by ANP, JICA and the Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation (AMCI) is part of the Africa- Morocco-Japan tripartite cooperation. The training benefited executives from Benin, Congo, Gabon, Guinea, Mauritania and Senegal. It is part of the development of South-South cooperation, the implementation of the action plan of the Fourth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD IV), and the commitment of Morocco to supporting African countries' economic and social development.
