"After marathon negotiations, we have reached an agreement on the government," Mr Larayedh said in a news conference on Thursday evening."We are going to give it the final touch tomorrow morning before presenting it to the president."

Efforts to broaden the coalition government by including other political parties have failed with the withdrawal of the Wafa and Liberty and Dignity parties however key ministries such as justice and theministry of interior may have independent ministers rather than Ennhada members. Mr Larayedh began the negotiations on 22 February and has until midnight on Friday to form a government according to the constitutionaldeadline.
