Tunisia and Qatar sign a military cooperation agreement

Tunisia signed a memorandum ofintent for military cooperation and a protocolrelating to the detachment of Tunisian military personnel to the Qatari Armed Forces the Tunisian Minister of Defence Abdelkrim al- Zubeidi confirmed on tuesday,TAP reported

The signature of the agreement documents took  place during Abdelkrimal- Zubeidi's visit to Qatar 18-21 November at the invitation of the Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed forces General Hamad Ben Al Atia and he took part in a conference of high ranking officers following  the joint manouevres on Exercise "Falcon Predator III".

The Tunisian Minister of Defence was accompanied by the Tunisian Chief of Staff  General Rachid Ammar and they  met the  Emir's inheritor Sheikh Tamim Ben Hamad al -Thami . There were a series of meetings with the representatives of 38 Arab Countries and Islamic and foreign representatives who took part in the conference.

The Tunisian delegation also visited the Tunisian Embassy in Dohas where a military department has been installed since  March 2012. Tunisian troops took part for the first time in the "Falcon Predator III" manouevres organised by Qatar from 4-19 november which mobilised 1,400 troops of different grades.
