Tunisia : Move to speed up drafting of the Constitution
The Higher Committee of Co-ordination between the parties of the governmental coalition called for speeding up the pace of drafting the constitution and broadening consultation on "contentious issues." TAP reported

In a significant display of united the meeting was attended by thegoverning troika of President Moncef Marzouki, Prime Minister Hamadi Jebali and the President of the Constituent Assembly Mustapha Ben Jaafar.
The committee underlined the need to materialise the creation of the three independent authorities of elections, information and justice while giving priority to the electoral authority, reads a communiqué of the committee made public on Saturday.
It was agreed to intensify consultation with the different parties which believe in the legitimacy and the objectives of the Revolution as regards all national issues, mainly the setting up of a final schedule for the next elections and the electoral law, added the communiqué.The Coalition commended "the strengthening of security," calling for the firm implementation of the law and the fight against any attempt undermining stability.
The troika is set to try to unite political parties and regain momentum following the disorder that climaxed on the attack on the American Embassy. The need to impose the rule of law and to restore stability is apparent to all. The economic challenges and above all the unemployment situation needs more investment..
