This project, which is part of the plant expansion to Aerolia Mghira (Ben Arous), specializing in aerospace components is, the official said, to support efforts by Tunisia to face the problem of unemployment (about 800 000 unemployed).

According to Mr. Fekih, the extension of the plant, located in the southern suburb of Tunis, will quadruple the number of unit personnel while carrying 400 people to 1,700 employees and executives.

The meeting with Prime Minister permitted to review the issues of training, development of basic infrastructure and logistics for implementing the planned project (integrated park).

Last January, during a visit to Tunisia, the COO of Airbus President and Board of Aerolia SAS, Fabrice Bregier, said that "we will proceed to a second stage, the construction an aerospace park outsourcing in several areas (equipment, logistics, surface treatment ...), and this requires government support regarding the establishment of infrastructure and training ... ".

The unit Aerolia Tunisia produced 37 aircraft components which 80% are dedicated to the Airbus 320 and exported to France for assembly at company headquarters in Toulouse. TAP concludes.
