The Marrakech International Film Festival keeps on supporting talents by paying tribute to the cinematic culture of a country.

After displaying the eclecticism and richness of Indian cinema in the last years, it was only natural that this edition should be devoted to Hindi cinema, to celebrate its centenary..More than a tradition, there are deep relationships between Morocco and Indian cinema, as shown by the many talents embodying the vivacity of the Indian film industry who have been invited by the Festival throughout the years, including Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Shashi Kapoor, Yash Chopra, Saif Ali Khan, Shekkar Kapur, Aishwarya Rai, Abhishek Bachchan, Nandita Das, Pan Nalin, Preita Zinta, Aparna Sen, or more recently Shah Rukh Khan.

This year, the dream will be on screen, on stage and throughout the city because, for the first time ever in an international film festival, an important delegation of actors, directors and producers, will come to attend the tribute that is to be paid to them on Saturday, December 1, 2012.

The Indian delegation will be led by Amitabh Bachchan.

Moreover, every evening the audience will be invited to the Jemaa el Fna square to watch outdoor screenings of a selection of recent films from Bombay and film premieres.

This year, for its twelfth edition, the Marrakech International Film Festival invites you from November 30 to December 8, 2012.
