Transatlantic Leadership Forum opens conference in Marrakech
Marrakech - The "Transatlantic leadership forum" opened this Monday in Marrakech a conference titled "Local democracy: the Moroccan democracy in its regional environment", held under the high patronage of King Mohammed VI.

The sovereign sent a message to the conference held in the presence of 23 US state legislative leaders and a comparable number of Advisory Council members in addition to Moroccan officials and economic operators.
The "State legislative leaders foundation" says it is expecting "an enlightening exchange of ideas between our delegation and our Moroccan hosts while they showcase their culture, history, and recent economic and political developments."
Debates will deal with "local democracy: women in politics", "food security" and "opportunities of cultural exchanges, academic partnership, trade and investment".
Other items on the agenda include education, culture and inter-religion dialogue.
