Tlemcen, capital of Islamic culture: a highly colourful show to end

The festivities marking the end of the event "Tlemcen, capital of the Islamic culture 2011" stared Saturday evening in Tlemcen, by a a highly colourful show, offered by the national ballet.

The Palace of Culture hosted on  the evening of Saturday, a grand spectacle presented by the Ballet under the title "Rihla fi biladi" (traveling through my country) that allowed to a very large audience to travel through the different regions of the country through eleven traditional dances from national intangible heritage. Highly rich in colors and rhythms, the two-hour spectacle consisted of a variety of dances; Chaoui, Kabyle, Tuareg, Algiers, Tlemcen and others, all running in a superbe choreography exceptional setting out the richness of this diverse cultural heritage that contain all the regions of Algeria.

Ballet dancers managed to vibrate the concert hall of the palace of culture, throughout a night of dreams.
On the other hand, a popular parade was also held in the town of Mansura or many folk groups of Tlemcen and neighboring provinces took part, accompanied for the occasion of horsemen, under the gaze of hundreds of passers-by, massed on both sides of the road leading to the palace of culture.

The festivities marking the end of the event "Tlemcen, capital of Islamic culture 2011" will continue until 25th April. Musical shows are planned in theater of Koudia, Abdelkader Alloula Culture House, the palace of culture of Imama.
