Tizi Ouzou: Four terrorists killed and another captured

The security forces shot dead four terrorists yesterday in the wilaya of Tizi Ouzou, and captured another injured after two shot outs in Tadmait and Ain El Hammam,the daily newspaper El Watan reports

Heading to Algiers on a light vehicle, the three terrorists were Tadmait, the Joint Standing barrrage installed for years around the N12 motorway, where security forces  from Tizi Ouzou also.

The bodies of two dead terrorists  were transported to the hospital in Tizi Ouzou and are being  identified, it says. Automatic weapons found on the Group have been recovered.

In responding to gunfire  by the ANP forces and elements of the National Gendarmerie while trying to escape, terrorists wounded a sergeant of gendarmerie and he evacuated immediately to the military hospital of Ain Naadja (Algiers) , El Watan reported.

Downtown  in Ain El Hammam, 45 km south-east of Tizi Ouzou, two other terrorists were also eliminated at  4pm
yesterday. Both armed Islamists were put ere killed at the end of a chase by security services from Tizi Ouzou, , after a collision, the two henchmen of the former GSPC were also on a light vehicle.During the clash, a policeman was wounded, but his life is not in danger.

Last week the terrorist leader Boualem Bekai, also known as Khaled al-Mig, died on Friday near Tizi Ouzou in the mountainous Kabylie region.He was the second in command to Abdelmalek Droukdel, emir of Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb, was eliminated by the forces the ANP Yakourène, a town located in forest 50 km east of Tizi Ouzou.His identity was confirmed on Sunday by his family, who collected his body from a hospital in the city, security officials said,acccording to the BBC.

There have been of  AQIM terrorists killed and captured recently in a government clamp down.AQIM leader Necib Tayeb was arrested with two others at Ghardia in early September. AQIM  claimed to have executed the assistant
consul  at Gao Mohamed Touati who was held as a hostage because Algeria hadfaild to release Necib tayeb and others.
