The celebration of the Throne Day revives Moroccans' determination and confidence on the path of progress for a better future which gets inspiration, for ever, from the highlights of their bright history, said Lamrini in an interview with MAP on the eve of the 15th anniversary of the enthronement of HM King Mohammed VI.

Amid the mutations and unrest which are rocking the world, the monarchical institution is leading, with resolve, the march of the country on the path of progress by multiplying initiatives and large-scale structuring projects in the fields of economy, industry, agriculture and energy, he said, adding that these promising actions are the best guarantee for a continuously-renewed hope for a people who, loyal to their sacred immutable values, remain mobilized behind the Glorious Alawite Throne.

Recalling the beginnings of the Throne Day, Lamrini said that its celebration started officially under the reign of late Sidi Mohammed Ben Youssef in 1934, seven years after his accession to the throne, following the passing of his father late Sultan Moulay Youssef.
