The Algerian artist Rachid Koraichi exhibits in California

Algerian artist Rachid Koraichi presents his collection "The invisible masters", which won the 2011 British Jameel Prize prize as part of an exhibition held at Stanford University in California (United States of America ), according to the university website.

Under the title "Eternity is the lack of Time," the Algerian artist presents this exhibition, which runs until March 10, along with nine other artists exhibiting twenty works that participated in the final competition "Jameel Prize 2011" awarded by Rachid Koraichi.
 
Algerian artist won the award for its collection of embroidered cloth banners with Sufi calligraphy and symbols  against ten other competitors selected from 200 candidates from various countries including the United States, Spain, Iran, Egypt, Nigeria and Pakistan.
 
Born in 1947 in Ain Beida (eastern Algeria) Rachid Koraichi dedicated this collection to 14 Sufi masters including El-Roumi Djalaleddine and Ibn Arabi.
 
The artist will be present at "Cantor Arts Center" to discuss his award-winning collection, in addition to his collection "The path of roses" with which he has participated in several exhibitions around the world. A documentary called "Axis of Light" devoted to eight artists from the Middle East, Asia and North Africa Rachid Koraichi which will be screened on the occasion.
 
 Rachid Koraichi , who lives between Tunisia and France, has already exhibited his collection "the invisible masters" in the Spanish capital Madrid (April 18 to July 15) with the "Jameel Prize 2011 exhibition."
 
Coming from a Sufi family, the Algerian artist has participated in several exhibitions around the world including the United States of America, Germany and Italy. His works are exhibited in various international museums.
 
 The "Jameel Prize" awards an amount of £ 25,000 the Victoria and Albert Museum and "Abdul Latif Jameel Community Initiatives". This prize is awarded every two years, to  a contemporary artist or designer whose work is inspired by Islamic art. At its first edition in 2009, this award was presented to an Iranian artist.
