Speaking before the UNHRC, Morocco's permanent representative in Geneva, ambassador Omar Hilale voiced the Kingdom's deep concerns over the deteriorating situation in Syria, mainly the reprehensible use of chemical weapons in Al-Ghota.

The Moroccan delegation shares the opinion of the high commissioner concerning the delayed joint actions by the international community to stop violence in Syria, he said.

The Kingdom is pleased with information provided by Navi Pillay on the improvement of the situation in Mali since the signing of the June 18 agreement, and the holding of successful presidential elections as a step towards returning to constitutional order, he added.
